Nurturing Legal Excellence: Mahindra University’s Internal Moot Court Competition Sharpens Analytical and Persuasive Skills for Aspiring Legal Professionals

Mahindra University’s School of Law successfully hosted its first-ever Intra Moot Court Competition on Constitutional and Environmental Law, organized by the Moot Court Committee of the university. The event was an offline competition and saw enthusiastic participation from students of the School of Law, as well as other schools of the university.

Mooting is a vital skill in legal education, and the competition allowed the students to sharpen their skills in a simulated court environment. The participants argued their cases with the objective of proving their point in front of the judges. The panel of judges included Mr. Tariq Khan, Registrar IAMC, Prof. Siddharth Chouhan, NALSAR, and Advocate Manav Thomas, Name partner Thomas George and Associates. They provided valuable feedback and insights to the participants, helping them to improve their legal skills.

The Moot Court Committee, headed by Professor Aparna Singh and Professor Darshna Gupta, expressed their satisfaction and appreciation on the successful completion of the competition. The winners of the event, Abhinav Pochampally, Snikitha Jampani, and Koumudi Balla, were announced. The competition served as an excellent platform for the students to develop their legal skills and gain practical experience.

Mahindra University’s School of Law aims to provide students with the best education and practical experience. The Moot Court Competition was a perfect opportunity for students to demonstrate their analytical and persuasive skills, as well as their ability to think on their feet and respond to challenging questions from the judges.
