The Apollo11 crew had to sign US Customs forms when they returned from the moon on 24th July 1969, declaring that they brought moon rocks and moon dust samples back with them!!  The declaration form was duly signed by crew members: Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins. It was counter signed by a Customs Inspector, to complete the formality.  Also have a look at this historic document !
