The girls are not very safe in Bhopal. It appeared on April 4, 2016 , around 8 pm in the evening . Due to summer season there were lot of people moving around as most of the time MP Nagar zone 2 is the busiest place in Bhopal , located in this area is also a girls hostel , suddenly people saw in front of the hostel a young woman grapple with some boys, before anybody could understand what is happening , the girl was pushed in to the car it is then the crowd realised that the boys are trying to kidnap the girl , seeing the girl struggle with the kidnappers few people came forward to help the young woman however , before the people could interfere she managed to free herself from the clutches of the kidnappers and ran straight inside the hostel , while the kidnappers were thinking of following the girl , looking at the crowd gathering around these boys had no choice but to run away from the scene .
After the kidnappers escaped the girl felt relieved and immediately informed the incident to the police on the distress call number 100 , she then also informed her brother about the incident and asked him to come to the Girls’ Hostel immediately .
As soon as the police got the news of an attempt to abduct a girl from the Girls hostel in the crowded area , police and the girl’s brother reached the attempted crime spot immediately . After listening to the whole story , police took her along to MP Nagar police station where she also gave her complete story to TI Suryakant Awasthi.
MP Nagar being a crowded area to try an abduct a girl was an extremely serious matter. Given the gravity of the case CSP Bharatendu Sharma arrived immediately. He also discussed the matter in detail with the girl and also informed Ansuman Singh SP South Bhopal. Taking the matter seriously SP Anshuman Singh formed police team immediately ordering to catch the accused at the earliest . MP Nagar police registered a case against the accused for attempt to kidnap and assault , the police immediately started searching for the culprits.
Anita ( not real name ) to protect her identity . The statement given by Anita was something like this to the police. MP Nagar Zone 2, has more than two dozen Girls’ Hostel where the college girls and working women also stay . There are many road side romeos moving around these hostels from morning to evening passing lewd and sexual comments at these women .
21-year-old Anita originally hails from Shahdol. Her father is in Balaghat working as a mining executive , she has two sisters, who are married. she also has a younger brother who is studying BE in a private engineering college in Bhopal itself. About four years ago, Anita came to Bhopal for doing her course in fashion designing. After completing the course she was looking for a good job opportunity staying in Bhopal.
The person who tried to kidnap Anita was a 24-year-old Amir Khan the main accused, she recalled and said , the year I came to Bhopal for my studies , a few days later the same year, Aamir sent me a friend request on Facebook. He wrote in his status, ” Be always commited to each other ”. I liked the comment thinking maybe he will be a dependable friend , hence I accepted his request. Aamir then began chatting with me on the net often .
Aamir had told Anita that he is doing BE , as well as some of his friends and relatives have been in the field of Modelling in Delhi and Mumbai . I am also trying for modelling assignment on their advice and have also recieved offers from couple of small companies but , by accepting these offers I dont want to become a B grade model . Therefore , I am looking forward to some good offers he told Anita .
Anita added, I started believing in Aamir’s talks because , nowadays many well-known artists from films and TV serials are from Bhopal doing good work with big production houses. It is obvious I was quite Impressed by him . So when he asked for the phone number I gave it to him. Now he began to call frequently. His voice sounded very good on the phone hence was anxious to see the person . When he expressed his desire to meet face to face I agreed to meet him. Once I agreed , the same day evening he came to meet me at the hostel. His voice & personality was nothing less than a model. Aamir then began to visit me everyday. In our conversations he use to tell me I should be careful as the boys here keep bullying girls all the time he use to warn me. He would show his possesivness and also take good care of me . Frankly speaking in this strange city I felt Amir was the only person I can rely on hence , gradually our friendship started growing .
Aamir one day, took me home. Where he also introduced me to his mother. Aamir’s parents also had a love marriage. His father was a Muslim and mother was a Hindu. I felt nice meeting his mother. As the time passed by I started believing more strongly in Amir. Whenever I met him, all decked up he would click my photos on his mobile . I did not object to him taking my photographs. Meanwhile, he took several Selfies with me and preserved in his mobile and I never doubted him that he might do something wrong with my photographs. I had assumed he is my biggest well wisher. Hence , I would accept everything blindly .
On the other hand , his family also started showering love on me. His mother said that if I became the bride of their house it would be nice. It will make both she & the mother-in-law celebrate Hindu festivals in grand style . Aamir and his family members made me trust them blindly . I started doubting things were not as it seems to be , when Amir began demanding money from me regularly . I had no Job, whatever money I would get from home to spend for my needs, that I was giving Amir. Gradually he started demanding more money, then I tried to convince him, but he was just going on asking for more money. Where do I get the money from, how do I get was of no consequence to him
Meanwhile, I met some of Aamir’s friends there. They were all Muslims, but all of them had Hindu girlfriends. They were also all taking money from their girlfriends. When I came to know about this , I began suspecting Aamir feeling something was wrong somewhere. Now I began to monitor his movements. One day I saw him with a form. This form was of open school NOS that proved Aamir who claimed to be BE student was not even 12th passed and he was filling the form to appear for 12th std. examination . This was Aamir’s first lie, which I got to know. This means everything he told me about himself was not true. I was scared of seeing his ugly face hidden behind the mask. He was such a rogue , that had he realised I know everything about him, he could even kill me. Hence , I was not willing to distance myself from him immediately and patiently waited for right time , the first opportunity I got , I immediately removed the sim card from his mobile and destroyed it so that none of my photographs which were saved by Aamir are left with him anymore .
Aamir somehow got to know that I have destroyed the sim card from his Mobile. He also understood that now I may not be falling into his trap. So he pretended to be angry with me , he also realised I was not scared of him any more . He understood that I will not fall in his trap any more as his wrong doings have come in front of me . However whatever money he wanted to take from me he had already taken .
Four months ago, I cut off from Aamir completely. I also changed my Hostel, but he somehow again searched for me. He then used to roam around all the time with his friends and follow me. He also began to defame me everywhere, but I did not fear his actions. Then I met my friend’s father who is in police and explained the whole thing , my friend’s father spoke to Aamir on phone and warned him , but there was no effect of his words on Aamir. Then Aamir along with his friends planned and tried to kidnap me.
On April 4, around eight o’clock in the evening I reached the hostel along with my friend Arpit by car. Aamir Khan was there with his friend Tayyab Khan waiting for me , there were two more young men with him on two different bikes. I was by now familiar with Aamir and his friends criminal nature hence , tried to avoid them and run inside the Hostel but , Aamir caught hold of me and pushed me in the car I was traumatised . As soon as Aamir pushed me in the car , Tayyab instantly started the car and drove the car from there. I was scared falling into their clutches. At the same moment, it became clear to me what Aamir and his friends are going to do with me. I had to protect myself with full force I kicked the car door. The car door opened and I jumped from the moving car. Somehow I managed to get up and to save myself ran towards the hostel.
Aamir ran behind me and tried to catch me again, but by then the crowd had gathered. as soon as some of the people from the crowd came forward to help . Aamir and his friends got in the car and fled. The other friends who came on bike were also helping him. Given the gravity of the case CSP Shri Sharma himself took charge of the case.
Police were on the look out for the accused , police started tracking their mobile to find their location , finally from the kidnappers’ mobile’s the location was discovered. Three out of four rogues location was showing the area around Vidisha and Berasia .
Police had tightened the screws against the absconding accused and on the third day of the crime Tayyab Siddiqui , Bilal Khan and Saif Ali Khan was arrested by the police. The police also arrested Aamir Khan who was hiding at home . Aamir had hidden the car used in the crime at a friends place , the car was also recovered by the police.
Police produced the accused on charges of Kidnappinging and assault in court, where they were sent to jail. (Story based on police sources and information appeared in the media).
