Billionaire-turned-politician Donald Trump on Wednesday was elected the 45th President of the United States . The Republican party candidate secured the support of 276 out of the 538 members beating Democratic party rival Hillary Clinton . The President elect will take charge of the Oval office formally on January  20 , 2017 , known as the ‘ Inauguration Day ‘.
