DR VAGEESH SARASWAT TURNS FILMMAKER WITH KAMCHOR

Marathi literary world has witnessed the great works of poet and satirist Dr. Vageesh Saraswat. Now it’s time for the Marathi Cine World to gear up for some amazing piece of Cinema through the film Kamchor. Dr. Vageesh Saraswat has turned not only writer, director and producer for this film which will focus on social issues in a humorous way. Though this is Saraswat’s debut in films, he says, “For me Kamchor is a poetry which will explore social & psychological issues. I feel only Marathi films deliver quality at par with international cinema. Marathi is a very rich language. These days, Hindi movies only know to entertain the audience.” Kamchor will be produced under the banner of Filmoniya Productions. Music is by Yug Bhusal & lyrics are by Shailesh Gaikwad. The film will be shot at Dudhni, Udhva Silvassa, Daman Ganga etc. Siya Patil, Priya Shinde, Mihit Jouhari, Trupti Birvadkar, Shilpa Das, Vidushi Kadaam & Ruchi Tiwari star in Kamchor.

FIRST LOOK OF ANKUSH CHAUDHARI AS DEVA REVEALED

Ankush Chaudhari is known to do something different and unique in all his films. Now Ankush Chaudhari has confirmed that his upcoming movie Deva will show him in a completely new avatar. For die-hard fans who watch his every move, Ankush manages to start a new style trend every time. His new look in Deva has been getting viral on social media. Colorful shirt, fancy locket, bracelets in hand, modern earrings, V shape haircut is a first look of Deva. Apart from all this eccentricity, that charming smile on his face remains same. Needless to say females love this look, which is driving his fans crazy. Presented by Innovative Films and Pramod Films Productions, Deva is directed by South Indian Director Murli Nalappa. It is a remake of 2015 super hit Malayalam film Charlie. Deva is currently being shot at virgin locations of Konkan.

SMITA GONDKAR BACK WITH MR & MRS UNWANTED

The bitter reality is that almost every homemaker’s life is tied up to the clock. All her life she tries hard to maintain a healthy work-life balance. And even our female celebrities fall under the same category. ‘Pappi de parula’ fame Smita Gondkar , who was last seen in Wanted Baayko No 1 is no exception to this. While the lead Mrs. is played by Smita, the male protagonist i.e. Mr. Unwanted is none other than Crime Patrol fame Rajendra Shisatkar. Dual family triggers double complications and the core idea of the film revolve around it. While the duo Prakash Gawade and Dinesh Anant are the script and dialogue writers of this project. Just like the story idea, even the lead pair is equally refreshing. Producer Mitang Bhupendra Rawal is presenting the film made under the banner of Urvi Enterprises, Mr. and Mrs. Unwanted is set for its release on 23rd of September. Handling sensitive, off-beat and uncharted subjects is what distinguishes the Marathi film industry from the rest. And the same legacy will continue with Mr. and Mrs. Unwanted. All our lives we are stuck in making a choice between wanted and unwanted. A new-age couple living in a similar dilemma is what Mr. and Mrs. Unwanted film is all about.  Mr. and Mrs. Unwanted is Dinesh Anant’s debut movie as a full-fledged director, but he has a lineage of movies in which he has contributed as an assistant director, like Dombivli Fast, Shwaas etc.

A DOT COM MOM POSTER LAUNCH

The poster itself tells us about what a simple mom-next-door does when she goes to America. This is the first Marathi movie which has been shot in USA. Dr Meena Nerurkar is the producer, director and also an actor in this movie. Before this she gave us plays like Sundara Manamadhe Bharli and Awagha rang ekchi zala’.  She has played the role of a mom in this movie, whereas our very own Marathi survivor Sai Gundewar plays the role of her son. Vikram Gokhale plays the husband of A Dot Com Mom and the role of their daughter-in-law is played by an American artist Apurva Bhalrao. The mom in the poster of A Dot Com Mom makes our funny bones tickle.

VAJANDAR TO RELEASE ON 11 NOVEMBER

Landmark Films upcoming film Vajandaar is slated to release on 11 November 2016 all over Maharashtra. The film stars in Sai Tamhankar, Priya Bapat and Siddharth Chandekar in lead.Sachin Kudalkar has directed the film and also written the story. The film also stars Sameer Dharmadhikari, Chirag Patil and newbie Chetan Chitnis.After making ‘Sangto Aika’ Vidhi Kasliwal of Landmark Films is coming with this next Vajandaar. Vidhi is from Barjatya family of Rajshri Productions. She was assistant director for Hindi film ‘Vivah’ and then directed film ‘Isi Life Mein’.

MUSICAL LAUNCH OF KHUSHI

Producer Ashok Bhosale, Manik Munde, Himmat and Dhaval Bhadra of Kaach Tarang Productions venture musical Marathi film KHUSHI muhurt was held with recording of two songs at Ajiwasan Studio recently. The film will be directed by Subhash Phadke who has also written the story. The film will introduce Kadambari Danve and Vijay Gite. Kadambari has won many competitions in Bharatnatyam and runs a dance academy in Pune. Vijay has acted in many films till date in small roles and with this film he debuts in lead role. The screenplay and lyrics are penned by producer Manik Munde. The film also stars Vikram Gokhale, Ashok Shinde, Vrushali Gokhale, Neha Gokhale and Shubhangi Litke. The music is composed by Milind Joshi, songs are rendered by Rahul Deshpande, Hrishikesh Kamerkar and others. Ganesh Mohapatra is cinematographer. The film will go on floors very soon and shoot will be held at Pune, Pimpri, Chinchwad, Mumbai and Bangkok.

KETAKI MATEGAONKAR TURNS MUSIC DIRECTOR

Actress Ketaki Mategaonkar has a God’s Gift of beautiful voice. Apart from acting she has sung many songs which became popular in youth. Now she has donned the hat of music director. Ketaki composed music for bhakti song “Hari Darshnachi Oadh” sung by Suresh Wadkar. The song is written by Raghuvendra Ganeshpure and music arranged by Kamlesh Bhadkamkar.Ketaki said, “I am attached with music since childhood. So taking up singing was quite a natural choice. Then I became an actress. People asked me whether I will opt for, singing or acting. But I balanced both. It was my wish to music director but did not imagine that I will get an opportunity so early.”

GANU IS A SURPRISE PACKET IN YAARI DOSTI

On the eve of Ganeshotsav, the Yaari Dosti team welcomed new friend Ganu warmly in the event organized at NSCI, Worli. On the occasion cast and crew of the film was present. Singer Adarsh Shinde crooned a song Bappa Bappa. The four friends in the film Gatar, Naala, Ladoo and One Plus One welcomed their fifth friend Ganu means Lord Ganesh. Shantnu Tambe written and directed Yaari Dosti is produced by Passion World Entertainment. The film which deals with sentimental world of teen age boys was released this week and stars Hansraj Jagtap, Aakash Waghmode, Aashish Gaade, Sumit Bhokse with Sandeep Gaikwad, Mitali Mayekar, Namrata Jadhav, Shreyas Raje, Nisha Parulekar, Ashok Pavde, Janardan Singh, Manish Shinde and Manisha Kelkar.
