There were few vehicles including two ST buses which were washed away in the Mumbai Goa highway bridge collapsed at Mahad due to heavy rains and subsequent flooding of the river Savitri in which many people also died . So far the rescue team has been able to find 26 bodies .

The rescue team has also been able to find one ST bus number MH 40 AN 9739 on Thursday so far ( view pictures ) , one more ST Bus,Tavera and few other vehicles are yet to be found . The ST bus fished out was found just 150 mtrs away from the site where the bridge collapsed . The search for other vehicles and missing bodies are still on .

It has also been announced that if the bodies are not found within a period of two months all the missing people will be declared dead , the family of the deceased will also be given compensation . People who died in the ST buses their families will be paid Rs. 14 lakhs while people who lost their lives in private vehicles will be paid Rs. 10 lakhs as compensation .
