A Grand reception had been organized by the Indian community at the Largest Stadium Kasarani in Nairobi. Contrary to the reports appeared on PM earlier visits, the costs of this event is not on account of Indian exchequer , it is confirmed that the costs of the event has been met by raising funds from the Indian community .

Never seen such unity and enthusiasm in the Indian community before . The organizing committee did not have to ask for Donations , it has been contributed  mainly by individuals and families without even asking them for a single penny .

Over 500 volunteers have worked 20 hours the previous day and are back from 6 am in the morning enthusiastically making arrangements for the evening reception without complaints and wanted to do more and more.

23,000 passes have been issued for the event and still counting , a significant number looking at  the small Indian population staying here.
