Tandoori Chicken Tikka

Ingredients:

  • Chicken whole cut into four pieces – 1Kilogram (cleaned, washed and drained)
  • Ginger Garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
  • Curd/Yogurt – ½ cup
  • Olive Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt- As per taste
  • Red Chili Powder – 2 teaspoons
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Garam masala Powder- ½ teaspoon
  • Lemon Juice – 1 tablespoon
  • KasuriMethi – ½ teaspoon
  • Chat Masala – ¾ teaspoon
  • Red food colour – few drops or ½ teaspoon if in powdered form
  • Corn flour – 1 tablespoonful
  • Papaya (optional) – 1 tablespoon (for tenderizing)

Method:

In a bowl prepare the marinade with all the ingredients mentioned. Give cuts on the chicken pieces so that the marinade reaches properly. Make sure the chicken is well drained. Apply the marinade to the chicken pieces and rub it well with your hands. Keep it aside for atleast 4-5 hours if not applying tenderizer and 2-3 hours if using tenderizer.

Cook the pieces on lighted charcoal as barbeque or you can even pan grill them.

Serve hot with green chutney.
